I have a book problem!!!

Help I have a book problem!

Hi there readers, I don't know if any of you have the same book related problem as I do, but I seem to buy books even though I have literally a bookshelf of books that have not been read. I am not joking either it's shocking I know how did I let it get to this state? Let me explain by bullet pointing the main reasons I think it has gotten into this state!
  • I do not put enough time into read or life gets to busy
  • I find really cheap books and can not resist
  • I read to many book reviews then have to have that book/books
  • I want way to many booktube videos on youtube then have to have the books I think I would like.
  • I can not resist buying books especially if I have found them hard to find or part of a series I have not even started yet

So those are the just some of the reasons I think my bookshelf have become a place for my unread books collection. I will just say I have managed to read some of these books on my bookshelf have been read and enjoyed and loved for the most part.

Let me know if you have any similar book problems or if you have any help or advice for my problem and don't just say stop buying books as that is obvious and I have tried to... honest

The Queen of the Tearling review

Hi Everyone I am finally back with a book review. Sorry it took so long to get up, but it is a very busy part of the year and life just kept on getting in the way.

So here it is The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen
I expect nearly everyone who is an avid book reader has read this book or at least heard of it, not unusual for me I am late on the ban wagon

If you did not know this book is about Kelsea Glynn who is just 19 years old when she is unruly, has high principles and believes that she know better then her elders.

In the beginning Kelsea is unlike any other 19 year old she is about to inherit a kingdom that is on it's knees which is corrupt, debauched and very dangerous.

So Kelsea either becomes the most fearsome ruler the kingdom has ever known or she will be dead within a week.

I absolutely loved this book could not put it down, I found myself always wanting to come back to the book never mind what I was doing.

I completely loved Kelsea and her character development was good the plot kept moving at a good pace and I hope it works out for Kelsea in the end (guess I will have to read book 2 to find out).

All in all this book had a good it kept the adventure going at a steady pace and had good plot development and character development. I completely enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys this kind of book. I can not wait to read the next book The Invasion of the Tearling hopefully soon.

I give this book 5/5 stars

well that s all from me today I might post again this week depending on the time I have as it is a fairly busy week for me

Happy Reading

Sorry I have not been around

Hi guys
I am sorry I have not been around lately, as I have been having huge mega trouble with my internet connection and this has been the first day I have had internet for more then two minutes (if that) at a time, which I hate of course as I can not blog or do any of those wonderful things you do on the internet.

On a positive note I am planning to try and do a blog post on either a Monday or a Wednesday as those are my two free days (or more so then any other day). As I do really enjoy blogging and talking to you all, but falling that I will try and do it at sometime in the week or weekend if I have time that is weekends can get quite busy.

I am sorry about the lack of pictures on this post I just wanted to write something quickly to let you know where I have been and to say sorry also to update you on what's going on

On the off chance

At this very moment in time I am reading Howards End is on the Landing by Susan Hill A year of reading at home.

What drew me to this book was the fact that is written by one of my favourite authors being of course Susan Hill I have read a few of her books before a have enjoyed then very much indeed and would recommending give her books a try.

This book though is kind of like a autobiography about a year in here live where she reads only books that are in her house and takes you on a journey of all the book related things she has got up to in her life. She also tells you a bit about each book and what meaning it has for her and the connection to the authors she has.

I have very much enjoyed reading this book so far, I am hoping to finish it soon. Some how Susan Hill has made me want to read more classic books find authors and books that have either been forgotten about or on the verge of being forgotten. It has shown me a love of books and things I never knew I had or made them stronger. It is also interesting to find out what she reads and  how she organises her books and what meaning and stories are behind them

I have not seen many, if any books written like this an auto biography about a writers book collection and the books she has never read or started but never finished. I am so glad I found this by chance and bought it. It makes me smile just thinking about it, which can't be a bad thing now can it

Best Wishes and until next time keep reading

Sunshine, book and wine what more could you want?

Well hello again hope you are all ok 😊

Well today is a nice sunny day and I thought that it would be a nice day to do a spot of reading outside and relax for a bit, whilst I get the chance. I do like being outside when it is warm/hot and get some fresh air into my lungs at the same time doing one of my favouite things to do reading, to be honest I could do the other thing I love to do which is taking photos. It is so much nicer to do this things outside.

So I decided to spend my afternoon in the sun reading The Lemon Grove by Helen Walsh with a glass of wine and chill and forget about the rest of the world, even if it is for a short while

Hope you are all having a good day and let me know how you like to spend a nice warm or hot day

Talk to you later

Danielle Steel 44 Charles Street Review

Well hello again everyone
I must say I am happy to be writing on my blog again for some reason it just makes me smile and feel happy :), anyway let's get on to why your all here for a book review or that's why I hope your reading

So this book is about a women in here 30's called Francesca Thayer who's relationship breaks down is left with a beautiful, old house which is full of leaks and in need of total restoration. So as a struggling owner of an art gallery is left with a mortgage she can not possible handle by herself, so is forced in to taking in lodgers to live in this big beautiful house and help pay the mortgage.

These lodgers are all very different one is a young attractive school teacher another is a newly divorced father and graphic designer and the last is a famous cookery author who is hoping to rebuild her life after the death of her husband.

Throughout this book these people build up an unlikely friendship and become the most important people in Francesca's life. Over the year that they are together the house fills with laughter, heartbreak and hope and Francesca discovers that she just might be able to open her heart again after all...

Review:
This books was enjoyable especially from about half way through to the end I guess that is because the plot and characters had developed and I certainly would not say it was a bad or disappointing book. As my first Danielle Steel book I didn't have anything to judge it by but I will be giving her books another go. The characters I most enjoyed and got behind where Francesca and Chris as o felt they where the main two characters in the book and I loved the ending for both of them I did finish this book with a big smile on my face 😃

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars

Please feel free to leave a comment or suggestion or even a book suggestion I would be most appreciative

Thanks for reading and have a good day 😃

Girl on the platform by Josephine Cox *Review*

Hi dear Readers i know it has been a while since i last updated here, but i am going to try really hard in 2015 to blog more and keep connected with you all :) well .... that is the aim.

So the last book i read and finished in 2014, was as the title suggests Girl on the Platform by Josephine Cox. It was a short book to read and the first i have read by this author which i have heard lots of things about mostly being good possitive things hence why i gave this book ago.

This book is about two best first called Mark and Pete abd there journey by train to London for a lads night out. As they board the train Pete notices a girl sat on the platform and thinks she looks lonely. So as the train leaves he finds he can't get her out of his mind because he has seen a glimpse of his self in her .

When they retuen from London over the coming months Peter sees the girl often, but when he attempts to talk to her his courage fails him. Then one day, the girl just sinple disappers. Peter is hopelessly besotted by the girl which he believes is his kindered spirt, Peter does will not stop till he finds the girl on the platform .

Review:

Over all this book was a nice quick read enough to keep me interested and a good introduction to Josephine Cox's books. It had adventure, romance and was told by the boys point of view which was intersting, over all i found myself enjoying the book and wanting to find out what happens especially towards the end. It was not anything perticuarlly special but it was a good quick read.

I gave this book a rateing of 3out of 5 stars

Feel free to leave any comments or suggestions you like it would nice to hear from you :)

Happy New Year and happy reading
