Troublemaker by Heather Beck

Hi There Readers,

I hope you are all doing well!

I am writing this after just finishing the book I literally put it down and started my laptop up to write this review. I did receive this book to review and just so you know this will be my honest opinion of the book.

Troublemaker is a book full of ups and downs, there is a lot happens in this book for our main character who has a lot on her plate.

Seventeen-year-old Ava has a hit reality show with her family (a bit like keeping up with the Kardashians). She is the "It Girl" who seems to have it all the hit reality show, the endorsements with the hottest brands and her very own stalker who is out to ruin her life.

Desperate to keep her safe, Ava and her family move to Mar de Lagrimas, a small coastal town in Yucatan Peninsula. Ava knows that it is the perfect place to hide her true identity and stay safe until her stalker is caught by the police. What Ava does not expect is to fall in love with the culture, the breathtaking scenery and a sexy local man who goes by the name Javier.

Javier is a strong, passionate, and chivalrous everything Ava wants in a guy (don't we all). Even though a relationship is the last thing on Ava's mind right now and needs right now, she finds that she can not stay away from Javier she is drawn to him. The chemistry between them is intense. Ava finds the time they spend together unforgettable, but will soon find out that Javier is keeping some big secrets of his own.

Will Ava and Javier get there happy ever after? or will their troubled past put them in danger? (guess you will have to read the book to find out).

I very much enjoyed this story and the characters of Ava and Javier and their relationship even though it's not a straight forward on they have there ups and downs and I found myself rooting for them more and more as the book went on.

I found that it also showed some of the less attractive sides of fame, that you don't always get to see or know how bad it can get.

I highly enjoyed this book and found it a good gripping read and I would recommend it to others who I believe would enjoy it.

I gave it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Billy and Me By Giovanna Fletcher Book Review!

Hi, Everybody!

This is my very first Giovanna Fletcher book, I have been wanting to read one of her books for a long time and this one happened to be starring at me for my book. So I decided to read it as it seemed like the perfect time to do so.

So the book is about a girl called Sophie May and she has a secret. One that she has successfully kept for years. It has meant her giving up on her dream to go to university and travelling the world to stay in her little village, living with her mum and working in the local tea shop.

But then she meets the gorgeous Billy who is an actor with ambitions to make it to the top of his profession. And when they fall in love, Sophie has then whisked away from her comforts and everything so knows and Billy's glamorous - but ruthless world.

Their relationship throws Sophie right into the spotlight, after spending years shying away from any attention that is directed at her. Is she able to handle the constant scrutiny that comes with being with Billy? And most of all is she ready for her secret heartbreak to be shared with the nation?

I really enjoyed this story and both the characters Sophie and Billy I also liked Molly who runs the village teashop that Sophie works in.  There are some good ups and downs. At times I could laugh, others sad it also bought a smile to my face a fair bit. Overall it was a very good read and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside in the garden reading it. (I read most of this book outside in my garden).

As I said earlier this is my first book by Giovanna Fletcher, but I had heard good things about her books before. Which obviously made me pick this one up and give it a go. I can definitely say I was not disappointed I loved this book and will definitely be reading another of her books.

I give this book a solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Solving Cadence Moore by Gregory Sterner Review

Hello readers,

I Have not long finished reading Solving Cadence Moore by Gregory Sterner this was a book that was sent to me for review (just to let you know and very grateful for).

Well let me tell you a bit about this book, shall I?

For a start the first line on the back of the book had me. How much will one man risk to solve the unsolvable? If that doesn't have you then nothing will how much intrigue can you put in one sentence making you want to find out more?

Ten Years ago, famous young singer Cadence Moore disappears without a trace on a remote highway in western Pennsylvania. To this day her fate remains unknown. Was she kidnapped or murdered? Or did she simply run away in search of a new life, leaving behind the abuse and heartbreak that haunted her (Just to clarify there is a trigger warning for abuse in this book so just to be warned)

Charlie Marx, hosts of the popular conspiracy radio show "Underground Broadcast," is obsessed with Cadence. Desperate to find her after deceiving his boss to save his job, he launches an investigation of his own, digging deep into the missing women's past and uncovering her darkest secrets. Working feverishly for weeks, he claims to have solved the mystery and promises to reveal Candence's fate at the end of a groundbreaking podcast series and live radio special.

But is it all a lie? As years of twisted details slowly unravel, Charlie races to solve the biggest mystery of the decade. If he succeeds, it will mean closure for Cadence. If he fails, his entire world will come crashing down live on air - and the truth may be lost forever.

I did enjoy this book and found it a very interesting way to solve a mystery like this and the story was told well even though I found it difficult at times to stay focused in places I did manage to get through these little bleeps. I had never read a book before that was told by interviews and podcast etc like this and did find it easy to follow and I did like the twist in the book that changes a lot of this. I am trying not to give away to much here as I do not want to ruin the experience for anyone else.

This is Gregory Sterner's debut novel which is a good interesting and intriguing one with a good plot twist mixed in, which does change the direction of the story. Cadence does have a lot of hardship and some bad influences throughout her short life and is also a victim of some abuse which is not very nice at all and probably left its mark on her causing some of her life choices. You do get to know Cadence very well throughout the book through others telling you about her through interviews which is good and you do get a few theories which are told and explained very well in this book.

I do recommend you give this book a try it may not be for everyone, but I did enjoy it

I gave it a ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

#Starstruck by Sariah Wilson Review

Hi, fellow bookworms

Before I start today's review this book is a very light and easy to read YA book and can fall into the classic boy meets girl then something happens to upset the girl and I think you can kind of guess what happens there.

Saying that it is a good book if you are looking for something light and not to heavy or fantasizing about what it might be like to meet your celebrity crush and have a relationship with them (As I imagine most girls have done at some point in their life.) I found it a good read after reading something a bit heavy just so I guess you could say cleanse my pallet and have a bit of fun.

Any, how back to the plot and what the book is actually about.

It all starts with bests friends Zoe and Lexi who have had a crush on this mega-famous actor Chase Covington for years. when one day Zoe decides to tweet to something he has asked on Twitter. It catches Chase's eye and can't help but to tweet back a reply but not just that he decides to DM's Zoe.

That is how it all starts there is a bit of drama in this book and Zoe can get a little annoying at times, but I believe that is understandable from that character. The relationship between  Zoe and Chase does have its fair share of problems throughout the book. Which I think is realistic to real life relationships no ones is perfect.

I did enjoy this book there were times when I didn't want to put it down and wanted to keep reading this is the first book in the #Lovestruck series and I will be continuing with the series as it was a lot of fun and I did come to love the Zoe and Chase relationship and them as a couple. I would recommend this as a light, fast read to someone who is looking for something fun to read.

I did give 5/5 on good reads though for the type of book it is and it did keep me engaged and entertained I also found myself thinking about it for a day or two after I had finished it.

Well thanks for reading
I hope you enjoyed it
All the Best

Now You See Her By Heidi Perks Review

Hi guys,

Today I want to share with you all my review of Now You See Her By Heidi Perks. Before I start I do want to say there is a trigger warning for abuse more mentally than any other type.
Another side note is that this book can be found by the other title Her One Mistake.

Right now let's get on with this review, shall we?
Charlotte is looking after her best friends Harriet's little girl Alice when she suddenly goes missing at a school fete. Harriet then cannot bring herself to talk to Charlotte never mind look at her. Two weeks later they are both in police custody being questioned by police which brings up A LOT of questions.

There are many questions that are asked in this book and a lot of surprises. Both Charlotte and Harriet keep secrets not only from each other but every one well that's more Harriet but I won't say any more I don't want to spoil the book for you all.

Harriet's husband plays a big part in the book to as let's say he has some issues of his own especially with control and is willing to mostly anything to keep it I won't say any more so no spoils or I don't ruin the book if you haven't read it yet. (I did not like this character, but I see that he is very important for the plot of the book).

The ending of the book is neither happy or sad it has a bit of both in it I guess it is up to your own option and view of if it has a good ending or not or something in between as it can be seen in many ways. Which I particularly like as it opens up a big discussion.

Overall I liked this book very much it dealt with the difficult issue of abuse well and did not make it obvious to the other characters to near the end of the book. which I think is truer to real life as you never know what goes on behind closed doors. This book keeps you guessing from beginning to end what really happened to Alice. There are a lot of secrets and it keeps you guessing and wanting to know what happens next it is a really good thriller and makes you think how well do you really know people and what goes on behind closed doors that you don't get to see.

I highly enjoyed this thriller it kept me guessing all the way through and I would not have guessed what happened in it and who did what even though I did have an idea the book completely turns around and has you thinking in a completely different direction.

I gave this book 4/5 on GoodReads but it was more like 4 1/2 out of 5

 Until next time
